Works great. Occasionally need additional beverage holders on my center console boat. Did not want to mount anything permanent and this clamps to the grab rail around the windscreen and stays there. If not needed - stows away easily.

Clamps are strong and stays in place even in rough chop. Have not used as a rod holder yet but see no reason why it would not work well for that also.
